We are an open handbell choir who practices at Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at Emmanuel United Church, 1728 Lincoln Road, Windsor, Ontario.
Our goal is to teach and to work together to perfect skills. While we recognize that some ringers have a variety of skills (fluent–or not–in four-in-hand, weaving, working with large bass bells), all who are open to learning new skills and willing to commit to practicing at home are welcome.
We play at various churches and nursing homes in Windsor. Annually we play during a Sunday Christmas Open House at Willistead manor. We are interested in playing at your venue also.
Our concert seasons are end of November to mid-December playing Christmas favourites. Also May to first of June playing non-seasonal favourites. Our concerts are 45 minutes in length and can be shortened to meet your time-frame.
Mentoring Progam
We are fortunate to have 2 sets of handbells. Our rehearsals are open to anyone who wish to check us out. For the first season you will be paired with an experienced ringer who will be able to mirror.
After rehearsal we will set time aside to help you through the basics of handbell ringing. At the start of the next season you may be assigned your own position or remain in the mentoring program.
